Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

SplitWalls Cloud is operated by Luis Otero, located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. You can reach us at alonsooteroseminario@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

• Account info — your email address and display name, collected via Clerk (our authentication provider) when you sign up.
• Speckle connection — your Speckle Personal Access Token and project ID, which you enter on the Setup page. Your token is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) in our database and is never logged or exposed.
• Model metadata — Speckle project and model identifiers, wall geometry data extracted from your Revit model (dimensions, positions). We do not store the original .rvt file; that lives in your Speckle account.
• Generated output — the .ifc file produced by your split job is stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage for 7 days, then automatically deleted.
• Server logs — IP address, browser user agent, and timestamp of requests, kept for up to 30 days for debugging and security purposes.

3. How we use your data

We use your data only to:

• Run the wall-splitting pipeline (fetch your Speckle model, run the split, generate the IFC)
• Authenticate you and display your job history
• Investigate bugs and errors if something goes wrong

We do not sell your data, train AI models on your data, or use it for advertising.

4. Third-party services

We share data with the following processors:

• Clerk (authentication) — stores your email and name. Clerk Privacy Policy
• MongoDB Atlas (database) — stores encrypted Speckle tokens and job metadata. MongoDB Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare R2 (file storage) — stores generated .ifc files for 7 days. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Speckle (model source) — your Revit models are fetched from your own Speckle account. We read them; we do not write to them. Speckle Privacy Policy

5. Data retention

• Account data — retained until you delete your account
• Job metadata — retained until you delete the job
• Generated IFC files — auto-deleted after 7 days
• Server logs — rolling 30-day window, then discarded

6. Cookies and tracking

Clerk sets session cookies in your browser to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking pixels.

7. Your rights

You can request:

• Account deletion — email us at alonsooteroseminario@gmail.com and we will delete your account and all associated data within 7 business days.
• Data export — email us and we will provide a JSON export of your stored job metadata.

Individual IFC files can be deleted immediately by deleting the job from the dashboard.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. Speckle tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before storage. We do not log or print secrets in application logs. However, no system is perfectly secure — use SplitWalls Cloud at your own risk during the Beta period.
