Terms of Service

Last updated: April 7, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using SplitWalls Cloud, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What SplitWalls Cloud does

SplitWalls Cloud is a browser-based tool for AEC professionals that reads Revit building models from a connected Speckle account, applies user-defined wall-split configurations, and generates an IFC file for download. It is provided in MVP Beta — features may change, and availability is not guaranteed.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You own the models. You represent that you have the right to share the models in your Speckle account with SplitWalls Cloud for processing.
  • You own the outputs. The generated IFC files are yours. SplitWalls Cloud claims no ownership over them.
  • No illegal use. You will not use SplitWalls Cloud for any unlawful purpose, to infringe third-party intellectual property, or to circumvent technical measures.
  • One account. One account per person. Do not share accounts or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
  • No abuse. Do not send automated or excessive requests that degrade service quality for other users.

4. File retention

Generated .ifc files are stored for 7 days and then automatically and permanently deleted. Download your files promptly. We are not responsible for files that are deleted after the 7-day window.

5. Intellectual property

The SplitWalls Cloud software, brand, and documentation are owned by Luis Otero. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the software without permission. Your models and generated IFC files are yours.

6. Beta disclaimer

SplitWalls Cloud is provided “as is” during the MVP Beta period. We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The service may be unavailable, slow, or produce incorrect results. Use at your own risk and verify all outputs before use in a production project.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SplitWalls Cloud and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amounts you have paid us in the past 12 months (which, during the free Beta, is zero).

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing alonsooteroseminario@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for more than 12 months, with reasonable notice where practical.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of SplitWalls Cloud after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
